SRO @ PUCK - March 3, 2008

ANd so it goes, Boris Garcia plays to another sold out SRO crowd this time at PUCK in Doylestown, PA. BG's return to the Philly area has been met with friendly faces and appreciative crowds. Starting with an acoustic first set, Boris Garcia opened the night with songs from the soon to be released "Once More Into The Bliss" album, combined with classics from the first 2 albums. The second set brought with it more great songs, electric guitar, keyboards, and jams. After recording 3 albums in as many years, the boys are relaxing and letting loose. Boris Is Thankful - November 23, 2007

Looking back at 2007, Boris Garcia has a lot to be thankful for. We spent the year spreading our tunes near and far as we took off on a festival tour across the land, finishing the season at Gathering of the Vibes. We got to meet and play with some who have inspired us, and heard a lot of great music along the way. Thankful we are.

Fall has us back in the studio recording our third album and the songwriting, instrumentation, and playing continues to evolve. Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone, who has a rich musical past and a way about him that fits in with Boris quite nicely, is producing and we’re back in Studio Four with our good friends Phil Nicolo and Frank Moore, with Jeremy in the back somewhere pushing buttons. All we can do is smile and give thanks to all who have been part of this trip, and say, “Hang on, we’ve got some great new music coming your way!”

Peace
BG

Boris Garcia and The Gathering of the Vibes - August 9, 2007

Sounds like an adventure movie, or maybe a series of books about the adventures of Boris Garcia. The truth is... its the truth. Boris Garcia will be playing this friday, saturday, and sunday (aug 10, 11, & 12) at the Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport Connecticut. BG will be found on the Sound Stage with David Gans, Juggling Suns, and the Kind Buds. More than likely Boris Garcia will be playing sets, then jamming, then maybe sitting in or being sat in with.
The line for the Vibes is truly one of the best found anywhere this summer.

Boris Garcia has just returned from playiing a sweltering set at the Bethlehem Musikfest. The folks from Godfrey Daniels were there along with 400 new friends. Aside from the heat, Musikfest was great!

Boris Garcia, The Movie - July 31, 2007

The month of August finds our heroes embarking on yet another adventure. Having just returned from A Bear’s Picnic in beautiful central Pennsylvania, Boris Garcia took a little time to remember the great people and music. OK, enough. It’s onward to another great adventure, this time to Black River Falls, WI, for the Grateful Garcia Gathering, where Boris Garcia will be sharing the stage with a great line-up including Melvin Seals & JGB, Donna Jean & the Tricksters, Moon Alice, and a bunch of other talented folks. BG will be taking main stage Friday and Saturday around 4.

On the way, the band will be stopping in to visit our friend Stu Levitan for an appearance on his radio show on WXXM in Madison, WI. If you’re looking to escape the heat of summer, why not take a road trip to the cool and soothing climate of Wisconsin and catch us at the 3Gs.

Hear Boris Garcia on the "Grateful Dead Hour" - July 31, 2007

New big news for the band comes by way of Oakland, CA and syndicated radio show “Grateful Dead Hour,” hosted by David Gans. David caught up with Boris Garcia at A Bear’s Picnic where he interviewed a few of the guys in the band. Tune in to his show airing the week of August 6 and hear what transpired between DG and BG, not to mention some new music that just might be live festivals tracks from the Boris Garcia Summer of Love 40th Anniversary tour CD in the works.

It's gonna be a busy summer, we'll see ya at the show!!

Boris & Schwag in the Ozarks - May 30, 2007

Boris Garcia has just returned from a most excellent time at Schwagstock 33 in Salem, Missouri, and we want to thank all of the kind hippie folk we met while we were there. Every once-in-a-while you can take a different road or turn a corner and find something special, and that's exactly what happened the instant we hit Schwagstock.

The Schwag headlines Schwagstock, performing a wonderful tribute to the Grateful Dead and more, pulling this vibey gathering together four
to five times a year for over a decade. Boris played Friday and Sunday nights’ mainstage, and were asked to do an impromptu live radio performance on Saturday afternoon on ZOE Radio, the remote from KDHX/St. Louis (88.1). Jim Bruce is the master of that domain, spinning an eclectic mix of jam, roots, bluegrass, jazz and more. We layed down a performance that was simulcast live on the grounds and will be aired again on 88.1 at a later date. Check the Web site at kdhx.org for more information and to listen online. Thanks Jim.

EOTO (two members of the String Cheese Incident) spun their web of jammy electronica all weekend and Boris was graciously asked to sit in with the Schwag on Sunday night’s final performance. Great Jams and a Great Time! Thanks to Jimmy T and the guys!!!

Great bonds and friendships were established this weekend; you can be sure Boris will visit the kind folks in Missouri again very soon.
Next up: a busy June and July including Little Feat, a few festivals and more. Check out the Tour page on borisgarcia.com for more details - BG
