BORIS GARCIA: Home

During my 25 years with Grateful Dead Productions, I listened to a lot of jamming, both electric and acoustic. Recently, though I still work with Bob Weir, I've been approached by a fair number of bands to help them, and have usually not been moved enough by the music to say yes - until I heard Boris Garcia. They fuse a bluegrass/country/folk sound with a jazzy rock improvisation mode and really excellent songwriting. Some say it reminds them of Tom Petty, others of old Byrds. Either way, I like them, and want to share them with my larger family. So here y'are!

Boris Garcia to tour New England - January 29, 2009

After an enthusiastic and successful West Coast tour (thanks to all!!) the Boris Garcia gang is ready to ride into the far North East to further promote their new release "Once More Into The Bliss". Still on the AAA radio charts after 4 months and #7 on the Jamband radio charts, Boris will be visiting many of the supporting stations throughout the North East and New England.

Boris Garcia recently appeared GD Radio and on the nationally syndicated Grateful Dead Hour hosted by our good friend David Gans ( www.gdhour.com ). Boris was joined by Mark Karan of Ratdog on the tune "The Other Side " and Peter Rowan on a rousing version of "Midnite Moonlight ". Two full hours of jams and music from a KPFA Berkeley live on air performance yielded the tracks and we wish all whom participated and helped make this happen, David Gans, Dennis McNally, Jack Barton, Mark Karan, Peter Rowan a huge thanks!!!!

Boris Garcia continues to generate glowing press and reviews of "Bliss" and they can be viewed at borisgarcia.com along with continuing tour information, pics and news.

If you are not hearing Boris Garcia on your favorite radio station or simply want to hear more call in and request!!!

The East Coast radio tour starts Feb 19th!!!
